What is the difference between the LUX series and the other series of LED continuous lights?

The LUX series offers ultra-compact LED continuous lights with a very low weight, designed especially for on-the-go use. With their small size and low-profile accessories, they fit perfectly in a backpack and are very suitable for air travel. Controlled via app, they also offer a particularly high level of flexibility.

The Candela series offers COB continuous lights from the professional segment. With their innovative technology, the continuous lights are particularly bright and efficient. Additionally, they can be stacked together due to their design. They can also be controlled via an app.

The VIBE series of continuous lights offers panel LEDs with the latest technology, which can also be controlled via an app.

The LUMIS series, on the other hand, offers small and compact LED continuous lights that cannot be controlled via an app.

How do I connect the remote control for Candela continuous lights to the continuous light?

Follow these steps to pair the remote control with the LED constant light:

1. Turn on the light and select the wireless connection mode to the remote control by pressing and holding the wireless connection setting button on the top of the light until a connection symbol appears on the screen.

2. Select the 2.4 GHz control mode by pressing the setting button.

3. Briefly press and then hold the remote control's rotary knob for 3-4 seconds. The control will start to synchronize with the lamp.

4. Once the wireless connection is established, release the rotary knob, and the light and remote control have been successfully paired.

How do I connect the LUX light to the Candela LED app?

1. Download the app directly from the App Store or the Amazon App Store (iOS 9.0 or higher, Android 5.0 or higher).

2. Activate Bluetooth® on your smartphone.

3. Turn on the LUX light.

4. Select the wireless connection mode for remote control by pressing the Wireless Connection Setting button on the top of the light until a connection symbol appears on the screen.

5. Select the app control mode by pressing the Setting button.

6. Open the Candela | LUX LED app and create a new scene using the "+".

7. Click on "Add Device", then "New Device", and select the device you want to connect to.

8. Click on "Add to Scene" and select the desired light. The light will be added and can be controlled through the app.

Can I also operate the LUX 60 RGB with a battery?

Yes, that is possible. You will need the LUX Battery Grip 99Wh (item number 20176).

Attach the battery grip to the LUX light using the 1/4" connection. Connect the D-Tap to DC cable to the D-Tap port of the battery grip. Then plug the DC connector into the LUX light and turn it on. And you are ready for creative shots.

What does the indication of illuminance mean?

The illuminance is a measure of the amount of light falling on a specific area. It indicates how much light (luminance) strikes a specific area and is measured in the unit Lux (lx). Hence the name of the series. One Lux corresponds to one lumen per square meter (lm/m²).

Conceptually, illuminance can be thought of as "light density" on a surface. For example: If a light source emits exactly 1000 lumens of light and this light is evenly distributed over an area of 1 square meter, then this area has an illuminance of 1000 Lux. If the same light is distributed over 2 square meters, the illuminance would be 500 Lux.
